Despite the disappointment of a rather short campaign, Neighbors From Hell is still worth a look for any strategy or puzzle game fan.
From Hell isn’t the most technically impressive game, but it doesn’t need to be. The art style is appropriately quirky and comical for a game based on practical jokes. Fans of the Wallace & Gromit short films will certainly appreciate the look and feel of Neighbors From Hell and its characters, who appear cartoonish, almost claymation-like. The game’s sound also gets the job done without too much flashiness; the characters talk in a Sims-style gibberish, while the music tracks and laugh tracks remind you that you’re playing a television show.

Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories

Liberty City Stories tells the tale of one Toni Cipriani, a regular-type mob guy who did a good deed for the head of the Leone crime family, Salvatore Leone. Toni had to go away for awhile, but the heat’s died down, and he’s back on the job in Liberty City, maintaining his loyalty to Sal while wiping out the family’s enemies in droves along the way. As you ascend to become Salvatore’s right-hand man, you’ll start and finish gang wars with other mafia types, a few triads, the yakuza…pretty much all of the usual suspects are present.
If you’re familiar with the various mafia presences over the course of the past three GTA games, you’ll recognize a few of the names and faces here. But the story stands alone and doesn’t require you to remember the various cast members. That’s a good thing, because the mafia characters in the other GTA games have been largely forgettable. The game’s storyline really isn’t up to par with the console installments in the series, because very little actually happens. Even potential plot points are squandered, like when Toni finally becomes a made man but a bad cutscene doesn’t actually show the ceremony. The game’s mission path doesn’t deviate into crazy territory, and most of the characters are fairly lifeless. There are no enigmatic weirdos like Truth, the crazy hippie from San Andreas, or Steve Scott, the porno director from Vice City, to break up the heavier-handed mafia tasks. This dulls the game’s personality, preventing its characters and events from becoming as memorable as we’ve come to expect from GTA games and their excellent storylines.
If you stick to the missions and don’t mess around too much, you can finish the game’s story mode in 10 to 12 hours. But the deceptive game-progress counter will only report around 40 percent completion if you stick close to the missions and don’t do much else. The game has some rampage side missions and the standard pizza delivery, vigilante, taxi service, and ambulance missions, too. You can seek out ringing pay phones to get into street races. You can report to car lots to sell cars or motorcycles by test-driving vehicles for prospective consumers. And, of course, there are 100 hidden packages to find. If you get into all this optional stuff, there’s a lot more city to see, and plenty of different cars to see it in.

Spiderman 3 : Friend or Foe

Spiderman 3 : Friend or Foe
PC Games | Windows | Activision | 2.13 GB
Spiderman themed action adventure called Spiderman: Friend or Foe. The name of this release is actually mispelled, there ’s “for” instead of “or”. Anyway, this title is aimed mostly at younger gamers as its graphic interface looks little childish and crappy. You will have a chance to meet all famous creatures from the Spiderman movies and fight against them, but I recommend not to expect too much. The game comes on 1 DVD (2 GB in size) and with cracked Safedisc protection.
Spider-Man: Friend or Foe challenges players to defeat and then join forces with notorious movie nemeses including Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Venom and Sandman, and other classic Spider-Man characters. Players will embark on a global quest to overcome an evil threat, by controlling Spider-Man™ and one of numerous Super Hero or Super Villain sidekicks, as they master unique fighting moves and styles while switching between characters to execute team combos and defeat foes. Spider-Man: Friend or Foe features a unique co-op mode in which a friend can join the game at any time and take control of Spidey’s sidekick as they battle through the game side-by-side and replay favorite levels.
Game features:
* Choose a Sidekick from your Allies: Pick from a long list of Spider-Man’s allies like Blade, Ironfist and Prowler, and swap between sidekicks at any time. Spider-Man and any chosen sidekick can unleashe lethal combos against opponents.
* Fight against Movie Villains, then Alongside Them: Face off against infamous movie villains using an innovative combat system. Combat Doc Ock in his lab, Sandman in a construction site, and Green Goblin on the rooftop of Oscorp. Then turn bad guys into good. Once defeated, they become your sidekicks.
* Team Up in Two-Player Co-Op: Share the fun with a friend or sibling! One of you plays Spider-Man and the other controls one of Spider-Man’s powerful sidekicks. Team up to accomplish more powerful moves that will blow away the villains.
* Enjoy Details inspired by the Spider-Man Movies: Movie villains are just the beginning. You also get to experience costumes, battle scenes and spoofed scenes, all inspired by the first three Spider-Man films.
* Come Back for More, Again and Again: Replay each chapter with a different sidekick and eventually with Black-Suited Spider-Man. Unlock additional characters such as New Goblin and Silver Sable. Fight in diverse worlds, from an island jungle and a New York training ground to Transylvania and Nepal.

Portable Amazing Adventures 2: Around the World 1.0.0.4

Portable Amazing Adventures 2: Around the World 1.0.0.4 | 38 Mb
Pieces of an ancient tablet have started turning up around the globe and the Museum needs your help to find and unearth the broken pieces to lead you to the most expensive gem ever known…the “World Diamond”. Complete over 100 levels by finding hidden objects & circumventing unique puzzle traps. Explore 25 unique & exotic locations around the world. Find over 2100 hidden objects in 3 different game modes. Play 8 different types of mini-games including place-the-differences, spot-the-differences. Good luck on your worldly adventure!
Around the World is primarily a hidden objects game. Each mission, of which there are 25, requires you to find a handful of items in whatever locale you are currently visiting. Like all products of the sort, you have hints to use and clicking too many times in the wrong spot will deduct points. It costs five thousands points to use a hint (which you can do each time the bar fills back up) and one thousands points for five consecutive wrong-clicks. Of course, finding items will give you points and finding them quickly will earn you even more.
After finding all of the objects, you’ll need to complete one more puzzle to finish the mission. There’s quite a bit of variety here. In one stage I was given a side by side comparison, similar to a “spot the difference” puzzle, but instead I had to replace certain items that were missing from either side. In another stage, I had to swap tiles in order to recreate an image on the left of the screen. You never know just what puzzle you’ll get and that keeps you on your toes and keeps the gameplay fresh.
Finally, as a nice little bonus, after completing each mission you’ll be rewarded with facts and trivia about the place you just visited. I’m a firm believer in using games to help education, so I think this is a always a nice touch.
