X-Plane - the aviation simulator developed and distributed by company Laminar Research under direction of Austin of Myers.
One of the most popular simulators in the world, unique certificated by the American Federal Agency on aeronautics for trainings to real flights.
X-Plane differs from other simulators application of the theory of an element of the blade developed for an estimation of behaviour of a propeller. Each wing and the blade of a propeller is broken on small under-elements, for each of them operating aerodynamic forces and the moments are counted up, then all of them develop, and the general result turns out. X-Plane distributes this model to all of self-years (the helicopter and other flying devices), working with a fuselage, wings and a tail, as with the elements creating elevating force.

Advantage of this method in comparison with the models using preliminary shortchanged data files, theoretically consists that it is not necessary to write down any data about behaviour of the real device. X-Plane itself models its behaviour, being based on data about geometry, weight, an arrangement and characteristics of engines.
