This program produces sound in the range of 16000Hz to 20000Hz which is beyond the audiable range of humans. Pests and other animals can though hear the very same frequency. This sound produces an undesirable effect on mosquitos and other pests thus restrains them from flying.

I can hardly imagine, how author of this tool and anyone out there could get 16KHz+ out of his speakers, but… Moreover, human ear can hear 40HZ to 20KHZ, mosquitos 18k unto 24k, PC loudspeakers can produce sound upto 17/18k.
Hence, the program will probably kill your acoustic, instead of killing the mosquito arround you.
Besides critical thinking, it was proven that these type of things are not effective.

If you still want to try, you can download this software from allmosquito web.

Please, use the software at solely your own risk. We take no responsibility for any damage, harm etc. whatsoever!

–

Some people said,
I got a small fix for it. Just run a music or any such file in Media Player or VLC, mute them, and Run the KP-Mosquito software. Now you can hear it more loudly. NB : Don’t forget to mute the MP or VLC. Best setting I found – 13GHz

You’re probably familiar with the popular proprietary commercial package Norton Ghost®, and its OpenSource counterpart, Partition Image. The problem with these software packages is that it takes a lot of time to massively clone systems to many computers. You’ve probably also heard of Symantec’s solution to this problem, Symantec Ghost Corporate Edition® with multicasting. Well, now there is an OpenSource clone system (OCS) solution called Clonezilla with unicasting and multicasting!

Clonezilla, based on DRBL, partclone, Partition Image, ntfsclone and udpcast, allows you to do bare metal backup and recovery. Two types of Clonezilla are available, Clonezilla live and Clonezilla SE (server edition). Clonezilla live is suitable for single machine backup and restore. While Clonezilla SE is for massive deployment, it can clone many (40 plus!) computers simultaneously. Clonezilla saves and restores only used blocks in the harddisk. This increases the clone efficiency. At the NCHC’s Classroom C, Clonezilla SE was used to clone 41 computers simultaneously. It took only about 10 minutes to clone a 5.6 GBytes system image to all 41 computers via multicasting!

Features of Clonezilla

Free (GPL) Software.

Filesystem supported: (1) ext2, ext3, ext4, reiserfs, reiser4, xfs, jfs of GNU/Linux, (2) FAT, NTFS of MS Windows, (3) HFS+ of Mac OS, (4) UFS of FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD, and (5) VMFS of VMWare ESX. Therefore you can clone GNU/Linux, MS windows, Intel-based Mac OS, and FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD, no matter it’s 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x86-64) OS. For these file systems, only used blocks in partition are saved and restored. For unsupported file system, sector-to-sector copy is done by dd in Clonezilla.

LVM2 (LVM version 1 is not) under GNU/Linux is supported.

Grub (version 1 and version 2) is supported.

Multicast is supported in Clonezilla SE, which is suitable for massively clone. You can also remotely use it to save or restore a bunch of computers if PXE and Wake-on-LAN are supported in your clients.

Based on partclone, Partimage, ntfsclone, and dd to clone partition. However, clonezilla, containing some other programs, can save and restore not only partitions, but also a whole disk.

By using another free software drbl-winroll, which is also developed by us, the hostname, group, and SID of cloned MS windows machine can be automatically changed.

Publisher’s description
ExamDiff is a freeware Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista tool for visual file comparison. It is quick and very simple to use, and has a number of convenient features that many users have been asking for a long time from a file comparison tool.

ExamDiff is a part of a suite of products that includes FtpVC, an FTP-based Version Control System that allows joint software development remotely over the Internet.

CNet Editors review
This program displays two files side by side, highlighting the differences. ExamDiff’s handy interface offers several navigation schemes: buttons taking you to the previous or next change, a drop-down list of lines, or mouse functionality going directly to any line. It lets you scroll files in tandem or separately. You can customize the colors the program uses to mark added, deleted, and changed lines. When running a comparison, you can ignore white spaces and case differences. It outputs results as standard Unix DIFF files. Unfortunately, no manual is available. This free tool is mainly useful for developers.

Features
# There is no need to specify both filenames: just enter a directory name for one of the files to be compared. ExamDiff will try to use an entered filename with a specified directory name.
# Remembers a user-specified number of last compared first and second files. This allows quick selection of the two files the user wishes to compare.
# Autopick feature in Compare dialog that remembers matching file pairs.
# Automatically detects file changes and prompts the user to re-compare files.
# One push re-compare function which attempts to leave the viewer’s focus in the same place as before the re-compare.
# Drag and drop support for dropping one or two files into the program’s window (e.g. from Windows Explorer).
# Easy editing of the first and second files. ExamDiff will spawn any editor (configurable by the user) with the first or second file, and line number option (available for editors that support this, through ExamDiff variables: $FILE (first or second file name), $CURFIFF (number of line at which the current difference starts), and $CARET (number of line where the caret is located).
# Saves the file differences in a standard UNIX DIFF file.
# Easy navigation through the differences via “Previous Difference”/ “Current difference”/ “Next Difference” buttons and hot keys or via a drop-down list box of all the differences
# Allows the copying of text from the comparison panes via drag and drop, a hot key, or a right button pop up.
# Simple “Search” command to search for strings in the comparison panes. It also remembers a user specified number of most recent searches.
# Customizable text and background colors, font, tab size, and “Show Differences Only” option as well as options to “Ignore white spaces in lines”, “Ignore changes in amount of white spaces in lines”, “Ignore case”, “Treat files as text files”, “Ignore leading white space in lines” and “Ignore trailing white space in lines” for comparison.
# Fully customizable file extension filter. For example, the user can choose only .c and .cpp files or any other files he/she chooses to be displayed.
# Tooltips which include file properties (when the mouse cursor is placed over the pane title bars), difference number (when the cursor is over the yellow triangle marking the current difference), and etc.
# Adjustable pane splitter with smooth synchronized scrolling. Allows easy toggling between horizontal and vertical splitter orientation as well as splitter centering and panes hiding.
# Command line options include:
Usage: ExamDiff [Filename1] [Filename2] [Options]
Filename1, Filename2 are names of files to be compared
Options are any of:
/i ignore case
/w ignore all white space in lines
/b ignore changes in amount of white space in lines
/l ignore leading white space in lines
/e ignore trailing white space in lines
/t treat both files as text files
/d show differences only
/n don’t show initial “Compare Files” dialog
/aN scroll trough all differences with N second delay and exit after the last difference
/?,/h print this screen

NOTE: if options /i, /w, /b, /l, /e, /t, or /d are not set, the last used options remain in effect.

The I-Doser application scientifically syncs your brainwaves to achieve a specific mood or experience, as outlined by the dose you are taking. It does this through the use of a binaural beat dose that changes your brainwave patterns to make you feel a certain way. Binaural brainwave doses for every imaginable mood. I-Doser includes two free one-time-use doses: Alcohol and Content. I-Doser uses SbaGen as it’s binaural beat engine, and is licensed by Jim Peters.

Version 4.5 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Stella is a multi-platform Atari 2600 VCS emulator released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). Stella was originally developed for Linux by Bradford W. Mott, however, since its original release several people have joined the development team to port Stella to other operating systems such as AcornOS, AmigaOS, DOS, FreeBSD, IRIX, Linux, OS/2, MacOS, Unix, and Windows. The development team is working hard to perfect the emulator and we hope you enjoy our effort.

NTFS Undelete: Recover deleted files

NTFS Undelete is free and open source software that allows you to recover deleted files. It recovers files directly from hard drive, and it will work even if you empty Recycle Bin.

Before downloading NTFS Undelete, please consider the following:

When you delete a file, its content physically remains intact on the media, but the occupied space becomes marked as free. Next file saved to the disk may overwrite the contents of the deleted file.

It is very important to make sure that no application writes to the drive or partition where deleted file is located since every new file (even a small one) may overwrite the deleted file.

Tips. What you should do, when you realized that the file you need is deleted:

1. Do not open or close files and applications. Many applications create temporary files which may overwrite and corrupt your deleted files.
2. Depending on your system configuration, you should perform one of the following actions:

A. If deleted files were located on the system disk (usually disk “C:”), or if you have only one logical disk in the system, you should not install any software into the system since it will most likely overwrite your deleted file. You will have to use another computer to burn the ISO image to a CD or DVD. Then just run NTFS Undelete directly from CD.

B. If your deleted files are not located on the system disk, then you can use NTFS Undelete Windows Installer to install the software as usual.

3. Run NTFS Undelete application and locate deleted file you’d like to restore.

4. Always recover files to another disk or partition. Do not recover files to the same partition they were located, otherwise files you are recovering may get corrupted and unrecoverable.

5. That’s it, now you have your files back!
